Profile - Jacqueline Dempster

When Jacqueline's mum enrolled her in Ballet and Tap classes along with her friends at the age of two years, little did she know that was the beginning of Jacqueline's dancing career. Whilst her friends chose different paths, Jacqueline continued with dance, adding in Highland and Scottish National classes too. At the age of 10, she started helping teach the younger classes and, in 1994, gained her Highland Associate certificate with the BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing).

Furthering her knowledge in dance is important to Jacqueline and she has also gained qualifications with the BATD in Scottish National, Stage and Tap. She regularly has day trips to Glasgow to attend teacher training and Days of Dance, bringing back new and exciting ideas to pass onto the pupils.

In 2006, Jacqueline embarked on a new dance venture alongside Lee - launching Danz Creations, also adding the Kinellar location into their growing school. Jacqueline loves the pizzazz and glitter of Show Time - choreographing routines for the Danz Creations biennial show and making many children's dream come true - to dance on stage!

Jacqueline is very lucky to have the support of her family including her two children. Amazingly, she is now teaching children whose parents she has taught and also danced with!
